Finally we've got around to making a podcast. It's been something we've thought about for a while, and even had a couple of experiments, but finally we've actually made a whole one. This is thanks to Andy Daniel and Richard Pilot, who recently joined the website and delivered some great reviews for us, and they feature on this first edition with myself (Matt Bailey, Editor).
This is Episode Zero as it's our first go and we haven't got together any music (in particular a title theme) yet. There's also some polishing up to do before we officially get into Episode 1 territory. There will also be a proper section on the website for the podcasts which you should be able to visit soon, complete with a feed you can subscribe to.
For now you can listen to podcast in your browser using the player below. It's powered by the HTML5 <audio> tag for Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari, with a Flash-based player for those people using Internet Explorer (have you considered upgrading?). Alternatively you can download it in MP3, Ogg Vorbis or AAC formats to listen on your portable media player of choice. Featured in this episode:
- What we've been playing
- News items (thoughts on the iPad, Steam on Mac)
- Recent reviews (Splinter Cell: Conviction, Save the Turtles)
- Our thoughts on the Prince of Persia film
- Some talk about our upcoming plans for the site
Also mentioned is talk of the Just Cause 2 review which, at the time of recording (Monday 31st May) was not yet finalised and on the site. However, it is now available on the site. There are some things which make sense in the context of the time of recording rather than when you listen to this!
Download: MP3, Ogg Vorbis, AAC.
We hope you enjoy the podcast, and aim to bring you new episodes on a regular basis (probably fortnightly). We welcome feedback, as well as questions to the show, and you can contact us via Twitter, or via our email address, webmaster@allaboutgames.co.uk
Thanks for listening!
