We go back in time on the Xbox Live Arcade this week with the release of a new title based on an old series and a retro release. Greeting the service is Rocky and Bullwinkle. It's essentially a bunch of WarioWare-style mini-games based on the 1960s TV series, which also spawned a film in 2000. Yes, we don't know why they've decided to make a game now, but this one does feature 12 player local multiplayer action, and the full game sports 105 mini-games - though there's considerably less if you check out the free trial. That complete edition will also set you back 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80).
For half that price (400MSP/£3.40) you can pick up the 1980 wireframe combat game Battlezone. There is, of course, new "evolved" graphics which certainly look somewhat better than the original (and we don't mean they've just gone HD), while still retaining the same gameplay that many loved in the Atari Arcade title. You can also now take the action online with 2 player support over Live, and the Xbox Live Vision camera can also be used in-game. As always, there's a free demo version that allows you to give it a go and judge for yourself.
