Five games have been added to Nintendo's two download services today. On the Wii there's two new WiiWares titles - Water Warfare and Puzzle Bobble Plus. The first is a family-friendly FPS from Hudson, based on the engine of the company's other WiiWare FPS, Onslaught. Firearms are replaced by water guns, but there's still split-screen multiplayer for two players and 8 player online action. It's available now for 800 Nintendo Points (£5.60). Next up is Puzzle Bobble Plus! from Taito. It's another entry in the classic puzzle series which has previously been known as Bust-a-Move over here. It's also 800 Nintendo Points. The next Wii release is SimEarth: The Living Earth on the Virtual Console. The classic EA/Hudson title allowed you to vary a planet's atmoshpere, temperature and more before placing life on the surface and watching it evolve. Think of it as Will Wright's early attempts at both The Sims and Spore. It was well regarded upon its release on a variety of platforms, many of which have Virtual Console releases, but it's the Turbografx version that's featured on the Wii Shop Channel today. It's also another 800 Nintendo Points release. Rounding out the Wii titles is Altered Beast from Sega. We've seen this title on the Virtual Console before, but that was the Mega Drive conversion of the classic side-scrolling brawler. Here we have the original, and superior, arcade edition available for 900 Nintendo Points (£6.30).
Over on DSiWare we have Hudson yet again, this time with Sudoku 50! For Beginners. That's 50 sudoku puzzles for you at just 200 Nintendo Points (£1.40). If you're into that sort of thing.
