We knew a sequel to the excellent Batman: Arkham Asylum was in the works, and that Warner Bros. had pulled back publishing duties from Square Enix/Eidos to do it in-house, but until now that's pretty much all the details we've had. Now the publisher has revealed Batman: Arkham City for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, due in Autumn 2011.
Like the previous game it will be developed by Rocksteady Studios and will see you roaming Arkham City, the new maximum security 'home' for all of Gotham City's worst. This is a heavily fortified walled area of Gotham City, and will see the introduction of new characters alongside a brand-new story, as well as some unspecified "enhanced gameplay features", which we hope to have more details on soon.
We hope to see the game at Gamescom in a couple of weeks and will let you know more when we know more!
