Another entry in the long-running and highly popular Rainbow Six series of games was inevitable, though we weren't expecting it to be Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Anyway, that game is currently in production for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC for March next year, again developed by the Montreal studio.

Obviously you'll be returning back to the Nevada desert city, though instead of the previous main character, you get to play as yourself through both the single player campaign and online. Presumably the use of facemapping via the Xbox Live Vision and PlayStation Eyes cameras will again feature. Improved co-op is also planed, including the ability to jump in and out of friends' games (or they do the same to you).

However, these days the Tom Clancy games are particularly popular in online play, so expect plenty of new stuff here. Planned are 13 new maps, two new adversarial modes, more rewards, and easier access to matches using the improved matchmaking system.

We'll have more details ahead of the game's release in March.
