TF2 gains Cloud support and new gamemode

A new gamemode for the PC version of Valve's Team Fortress 2 was snuck out on Steam last night bringing two important new features. The first is the introduction of Steam Cloud support for the game, which gives you the ability to have your settings, including your all-important class loadouts complete with your fancy hat, held on Valve's servers. The advantage of this is that you can log in to Steam from any PC and have these available to you, and they are also backed up in case your hard drive fails.

On top of this, Valve also introduced a new mode; Highlander. This is a 9 versus 9 game in which there is only one of each class, so you can only have one demoman, one engineer, etc. This update comes on the back of updates to 8 of the game's 9 classes, adding new weapons and other features, as well as the recently introduced bot support. There's still no more news on when these updates will arrive on the Xbox 360 version of the game.
