There's plenty of new content in the pipeline for excellent BioWare RPG Mass Effect 2, and now we hear of a new playable character. Coming in April will be a master thief named Kasumi Goto as part of the Stolen Memory paid-for downloadable content (DLC) pack. You will be able to recruit Kasumi in new missions, and also have her join Commander Shepherd's squad to take on the missions in the rest of the game. As well as this you'll receive a new research upgrade, one new weapon, and a new achievement. The "Kasumi - Stolen Memory" pack will be available for the Xbox 360 at a cost of 560 Microsoft Points (£4.64), and on PC for 560 BioWare points (about the same price).

Prior to the launch of this pack is more DLC that has been released today. Available for free through the in-game Cerberus Network (which itself is bought separate for those not buying the game new) is the Firewalker DLC, which includes five missions taking place on five uncharted worlds, and this is done in the new Hammerhead hover-tank. There's also some new costumes in the "Alternate Appearance Pack" now available for 160 Microsoft Points (£1.36) on Xbox 360 and 160 BioWare Points (£1.23) on PC.
