The Ballad of Gay Tony, the second downloadable content (DLC) pack for Grand Theft Auto IV, has launched this week for the Xbox 360.

The new expansion features Luis Lopez, a bit of a thug and a full-time assistant to famous man of the nightclub Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"). There's competing loyalties of family and friends, and an intriguing story to extend the life of Rockstar's highly-praised title. As well as a new storyline, there's plenty of other changes in the DLC; for a start you can now replay previously completed missions to achieve higher scores, in a similar manner to Chinatown Wars, and there's a bunch of new weapons being added to the game. There's new cars and new aircraft, including a new helicopter, but more importantly is the return of the parachute. It's re-introduction sees the addition of a base jumping multiplayer mode, available to play with your friends over Xbox Live. The other multiplayer modes have also received a bit of an update.

The DLC is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1600 Microsoft Points, but there's also another way to check it out. The Ballad of Gay Tony has been released along with the previous 360-exclusive DLC The Lost and the Damned on a disc entitled GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City. This pack is a standalone release, designed for those who like to have their content on discs, don't have an Xbox Live account and/or broadband, or possibily don't even own the original game. As well as having both episodes on disc, you also get three exclusive radio stations; Vice City FM, RamJam FM and Self-Actualization FM. Episodes from Liberty City is also now in the shops.
