At the weekend Activision finally revealed the next title in the multi-million-selling Call of Duty series. Following Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 it's the turn of World at War creators Treyarch to deliver a new entry in the FPS series to the publisher, and we were all expecting a Vietnam focussed title. Instead Treyarch are offering up a more interesting proposal, titled Black Ops. We wouldn't be surprised to see Vietnam taking part in some of those missions, but the trailer - which rushes through footage without providing much detail - does suggest a variety of time periods could be on the cards. We hope to bring you more on the game in the near future.
The announcement of Black Ops comes on the back of the spat between ex-Infinity Ward stuff who have signed up with EA, and their former paymasters at Activision. In addition, Halo-creators Bungie have also just signed a 10 year deal with the mega-publisher.
