It's not long since the C64 joined Nintendo's Virtual Console platform, but now games from Sega's Master System are also gracing the European Wii Shop Channel. Wonder Boy is the first of these, and is one of Sega's classic pre-Sonic platforming series alongside Alex Kidd, and is available for 500 Wii Points (£3.50). Fantasy Zone is the other release on the new platform and is described as a colourful shoot-'em-up, though there are plenty of better ones already available for purchase and download. It's also at the standard Master System game price of 500 Wii Points
Probably of more interest are the two C64 titles which also join the VC in the latest update. Well, maybe not the awful California Games, which features plenty of 80s nostalga, but not a lot else. Impossible Mission, on the other hand, is a stand-out classic many have been waiting for since the announcement that Commodore 64 games would be available on the Wii. The side-scrolling action game features plenty of puzzle elements to keep you on your toes, and is well worth checking out - pity there's still no demos... Both C64 releases also cost 500 Wii Points.
