Joe Danger released on PlayStation Store as PSN goes down for maintenance

The PlayStation Network (PSN) is doing some maintenance today (9th June), which unfortunately coincides with the weekly PlayStation Store update. So if you want to check out the new stuff, you had better boot up your PS3 or PSP and head to the Store before 1600BST.

It certainly is worth booting up your PS3 as today is the release day for exciting indie title Joe Danger from Hello Games. Aside from some rather pretty visuals, it's interesting in the way it harks back the delights of the original Excitebike from the NES era. It's a motorbike stunt game, in the vein of the excellent Trials HD, but a bit more crazy and with a lot more coins to collect. It's a PS3-exclusive (at the moment), out now for £9.99, and we hope to bring you more on the game soon. Another indie title, Greed Corp (which we reviewed favourably), is also reduced in price on the Store from today for a limited period, so grab it now while it's only £4.79.

We'll have full details on what else is in the PlayStation Store update, as well as what's gone live on the Xbox Live Arcade, Wii Shop Channel and DSi Store, in our "DLC Digest" round-up at the end of the week.
