Dust off your copies of Halo 3: ODST as the Halo: Reach beta is now underway on Xbox Live. Gold subscribers can access the free 1.2GB beta via menus on Bungie's previous shooter, ODST, and they'll need to use that same disc to access the multiplayer beta each time. There's a bunch of multiplayer maps and modes included, and 4-player split-screen is even present too.
Xbox Live Silver users can get in on the action from May 14th at 1700BST, but will only be able to play until May 17th 1700BST, so make the most of your free 72 hours. The beta will disappear for everyone on May 19th, unless we see an extension like we did with the Halo 3 multiplayer beta way back in 2007.
