"Up to 20 titles" will be available from June 1st in Europe on the new Platinum range on the PSP. The PlayStation Portable games will retail for €24.99, which we guess translates to £19.99 here in the UK.

SCEE’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Simon Rutter said, "The Platinum collections have been hugely successful. Experienced gamers know that they are getting the pick of the crop with a Platinum title, and are doing so at a great price, while the Platinum collection on PSP provides the perfect entry route for those new to handheld gaming – an unbeatable combination!"

SCEE themselves will be releasing Everybody's Golf, WRC, F1 Grand Prix, Medievil Resurrection and Ridge Racers. Other third-party releases include Virtua Tennis: World Tour, Burnout Legends, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006, Need for Speed Underground Rivals, Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire and Peter Jackson's King Kong.

WipEout Pure is notable by it's absense. The excellent launch title is highly unlikely to have missed the sales target, and we suspect the game is probably still selling too well to warrant the drop in price.
