E3: New Metal Gear Solid comes to 360 - also arriving on PS3 and PC

One of the big announcements at Microsoft's E3 press conference was that Metal Gear Solid: Rising is currently in development for the Xbox 360. That's both a new Metal Gear Solid, and the first time the series has arrived on the 360. It isn't, however, a port of (still) PS3-exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 as had been rumoured, and indeed won't even feature Solid Sneak. Instead the game focuses on Raiden, star of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and also featured in MGS4.

However, series creator Hideo Kojima is - as usual - keeping his cards close to his chest with nothing else revealed about the game thus far. Indeed, there wasn't even confirmation from either the conference or the press release about whether the title is arriving on any other platforms. However, we've managed to spot the game listed for release on both the PS3 and PC on Konami's press site, and though this could be a mistake, we're pretty confident Rising isn't a 360-exclusive. Microsoft would have made sure we knew that.
