KaosKontrol, developers of upcoming FPS DogTag have announced that their publisher for the game, Digital Jesters, has been in breach of contract and that the company has ended their publishing agreement.

The news comes on the back of recent reports of insolvency at Digital Jesters, which were denied, and a threat from other developers and partners of the company to take them to court. Cyanide Studios, Frogwares, Focus Home Interactive and Nadeo Interactive were involved in that joint effort, but KaosKontrol are the first to take legal action.

KaosKontrol is also trying to petition for 'Digital Jesters Distribution' - one of four company names under which DJ has recently traded - to be closed down by the district court of Birmingham. The company may also take legal steps against the directors of Digital Jesters for fraud under "section 206 of the Insolvency Act 1986".

KaosKontrol have stated that no products are affected by this, so we can assume that DogTag is still on schedule, and that it will pick up a new publisher in the near future.
