It's time for another DLC Digest, where instead of a bunch of individual posts on the latest downloads on each platform, we have a weekly round-up. It covers a range of downloadable content (DLC), in particular demos and add-ons, across all the consoles.

Leading the way on the 360 this week is Darwinia+ which we've covered previously. You can grab it from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.80), or check out the free trial version.

Over on the PlayStation Store, PS3 owners will be pleased to hear that a demo of the eagerly-awaited title Heavy Rain is now available to download for free, giving you a chance to try out two of the game's characters and their interlocking story. There's also two new PS3 games; Frogger HD (£3.99) and Switchball (£6.29), which have been previously released on the Xbox Live Arcade. There's two new minis this week for the PS3 and PSP; This is Football Management for £3.99, and The Terminator (yes, based on the films) for the same price.

There's been no Xbox 360 demos in the past week, and Heavy Rain is the only PS3 demo, but PSP owners get three free new ones; SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3, Echoshift, and Undead Knights. On the add-on front there's new LittleBigPlanet content for both the PS3 and PSP versions, new tracks for RockBankd and Guitar Hero 5 on all relevant platforms. EyePet also get some new free content, while the most notable 360 DLC was the Nürburgring GP Track Pack for Forza 3.

In Nintendoland, it's actually SEGA leading the way. Sonic & Knuckles is the lead item, with the Mega Drive era platformer available for 800 Wii Points (£5.60). You get to play as either of the characters in the title, but if you also own either Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 on the Virtual Console, then if they're downloaded to your Wii Knuckles will also be unlocked in those games to, mirroring the 'lock-on' technology in the original cartridge release. Joining the Virtual Console are two WiiWare releases; Frogger Returns (500 Wii Points/£3.50), and Overturn Mecha Wars (800 Wii Points). Things aren't so exciting on DSiWare, with the handheld getting some golf for 800 DSi Points (£7.20), sudoku for 500 DSi Points (£4.50), and a couple more Electroplankton parts for 200 DSi Points (£1.80) each.
