It's time for another DLC Digest, where instead of a bunch of individual posts on the latest downloads on each platform, we have a weekly round-up. It covers a range of downloadable content (DLC), in particular demos and add-ons, across all the consoles.

First up is this week's Xbox Live Arcade release, Chime. It's a 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40) puzzle title that has some unique gameplay, as you place pieces on the grid to form quads (3x3 or more rectangles and squares) and fill up the grid. It's well priced, and there's an extra hook; it's for charity, with about 60% of that price going towards developer Zoe Mode's chosen charities. There's a free trial version available if you want to try it out first.

Arriving on both the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace this week is a multiplayer demo for SEGA and Rebellion's Aliens versus Predator game. In fact it's also available for PC owners on Steam and other sources. On all three platforms it will, of course, cost you nothing. A demo for EA and DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is available for PlayStation 3 owners this week, and available for free, following the existing demo and beta for the 360 and PC respectively. The last demo this week is Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360.

Over in DLC land, there's some Souls packs for Danto's Inferno for both 360 and PS3 this week, ranging from a free one, to one costing 320 MSP (£2.72) on 360 or £3.19 on PS3. There isn't much else this week for the 360, apart from some new Lips tracks, as well as the RockBand and Guitar Hero songs on both platforms. On the PS3 there's a free "Gigawatt Blades" pack for inFamous adding a new ability, while PSN title Topatoi gets the "Pillar of the Skies" add-on for £4.79. There's new free stuff for Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, EyePet, and Age of Booty too. The PSP, meanwhile, gets some new LittleBigPlanet DLC; the "Savannah Level Kit" for £2.39, and two free costume packs.

One of the most high-profile releases this week is actually a re-release of a classic; Final Fantasy VIII is now on the PlayStation Store for both PS3 and PSP owners. Square Enix's PSone RPG classic costs £7.99. There's also a new mini available for both called Spaceball Revolution for £3.99. Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks is available for the PSP for £15.99, and there's a free demo of Half-Minute Hero for the handheld owners to check out. Lastly on the PlayStation Store it's minis month, with a celebration of the bite-sized games for PS3 and PSP. As a result a few of the titles are currently discounted for a short period of time.

Now on to the Nintendo stores. For the Wii's Virtual Console there's Final Fight 3 from the SNES era. The classic side-scrolling brawler from Capcom is available for 800 Wii Points (£5.60). Joining it is another high-profile release; Excitebuke: World Challenge on WiiWare. It's a remake of the original bike title, featuring 3D graphics and 2D gameplay, and also packing in online multiplayer for 1000 Wii Points (£7). Lastly for the Wii is another WiiWare release called Aha! I Got It!, though despite its 500 Wii Points (£3.50) price, it's probably not worth your interest. And the same can probably be said for this week's sole DSiWare release Snakeoid (500 DSi Points/£4.50), based on the quality of the developer's previously release.

And that's it for another week.
