The highlight of the week amongst the new downloadable is Ancients of Ooga which is exclusive to the Xbox Live Arcade. The spiritual successor to the excellent Cloning Clyde from Ninja Bee is another crazy platformer this time featuring tribes and spirits. It looks like another great title from the indie developer, and we'll have a review on the site soon. In the mean time you can grab the trial version or pick up for the full game for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80). Also on XBLA this week is Puzzle Quest 2, continuing the puzzle-RPG crossover series for 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20).

It's all about PlayStation Plus on the PlayStation Store this week, alongside a bunch of new sale items. Sam & Max Episode 1 Standalone: The Penal Zone for £6.29 and Polar Panic for £7.99 are the two main PS3 releases alongside two minis; The Mystery of the Crystal Portal and Hello Flowerz! for £3.99 each, and both are compatible with the PS3 and PSP. Joining these games are free demos of Aqua Panic HD, Death Track: Resurrection, and the apparently rather good LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4. The highlight amongst various little bits of DLC is the Fat Princess expansion dubbed Fat Roles which is £3.99 at full price, but available for cheaper for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Moving to Nintendo Land now, the highlight probably has to be Jett Rocket just based on how good it looks for a WiiWare release, or indeed a Wii game at all. This 3D platformer is probably worth checking out for just 1000 Wii Points (£7), though unfortunately (as usual with the Nintendo shops) there's no demo to try out. NES-era side-scrolling action game Ufouria: The Saga is now available on the Virtual Console for 500 Wii Points (£3.50). On the DSi there's a whole bunch of new games. Maestro! Green Groove from Neko Entertainment is the one that should get your most attention. Previous released as a full DS game, it's now available for just 500 DSi Points (£4.50), and it's actually a rather good and original platformer. Joining it are Prehistorik Man (800 DSi Points or £7.20), Extreme Hangman (200 DSi Points or £1.80), Ball Fighter (500 DSi Points) and Puffins: Let's Fish! (500 DSi Points).

And that's it for another week's DLC Digest.
