Charts Update: Mafia II pushes away Kane & Lynch 2 to grab top spot

With gamescom fading into the past we're back to the regular episodes of the Charts Update. This week's highest new entry is also this week's new Number 1; Mafia II. The third-person action game from 2K Games always looked destined for the top spot, despite a range of mixed reviews. However, it's reviews are not as varied as those for Kane & Lynch 2 which manages to stay high in the charts in its second week, now grabbing the second spot.
There's no significant falls this weeks, and not particularly stand-out change. Mafia II is the sole new entry, but Wii Sports Resort did climb 11 places to take slot 5. Summer releases like Toy Story 3, LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, and Red Dead Redemption continue to be selling well, with all three still in the Top 10.
