Steve Jobs revealed the new iPhone 4 yesterday at Apple's keynote presentation ahead of the WWDC. The new iPhone is Apple's "biggest leap [Apple has] taken since the original". New features include an enhanced screen with 4x the pixels-per-inch (ppi) than the iPhone 3GS, gyroscopes, a 5 megapixel camera with flash, 1GHz A4 processor (as seen in the iPad) and a front-facing camera with video chat support.
What does this mean for portable gaming? Well, the increased screen resolution density and increased CPU power will make games look even more stunning, and the need for anti-aliasing redundant. The device is now a really serious contender in the portable gaming market, with the same input accuracy as the Wii MotionPlus.
We can't wait to see what stunning visuals the next generation of games for the iPhone has to offer. How will the upcoming Nintendo 3DS contend?
